The experience of visiting the Globe is unique and should be uninterrupted. The navigation in the building can be challenging at some points, especially if disabilities are taken into consideration. To unify all the different experiences offered by the company, a layer of sound is proposed, the Voice of the Globe. The voice can guide you through the whole experience, from buying the tickets to exiting the theatre.

Information Hierarchy
  • Maps to book the favourable seats
  • App to assist the users as per their requirement
  • An unbiased process of booking tickets
  • An Audio guide - navigation
  • An app to help navigate and assist in the interactions in the space - to ensure the accessibility of the app

The journey starts when purchasing the tickets online or offline. For online purchases, the app can guide the user through the process and help personalise the tickets, getting the best seats for each requirement. For offline purchases, the app can guide the visitor to the box office. When the tickets are received and the user enters the building, the app will assist navigation, offering the possibility to go to the bar, use the restroom, or go directly to the theatre seats. If it’s too early to enter the theatre, it could suggest visit the exhibition or attend a scheduled workshop. The guide will also take into account any requirements that come with the tickets when selecting the best route. All of it is done with storytelling involved, being the user allowed to choose different voices, layers of sound and speed of narration - maybe Shakespeare himself will guide them through!

Once the event is over, the Voice will guide the user to the closest and safest exit.
